At CALAM Training we offer a range of courses to suit the different ministries in the Body of Christ. You may be interested in studying part-time or full-time, on-campus or by flexible distance mode, toward a Certificate III or IV, Diploma or the Global Discipleship Course that introduces you to cross-cultural service.

CALAM Training has a heart for ministry. Our primary vision is to equip God's people for Christian service. For this reason we are pleased to offer the following nationally recognised courses of study:

  • Certificate III in Christian Ministry and Theology is awarded to students who have successfully completed six months of learning. The Certificate III is designed to prepare the lay person for basic ministry in the local church and workplace. This course can be completed in six months full-time or over a number of years part-time.
  • Certificate IV in Christian Ministry and Theology is awarded to students who have successfully completed twelve months of learning. The Certificate is designed to prepare the lay person for ministry in the local church and workplace. This course can be completed in one year full-time or over a number of years part-time.
  • Diploma of Christian Ministry and Theology is designed to equip students for mission placement, church planting, ministry in the local church and growth as disciples of Jesus Christ. This course can be completed in 2 years full-time or over a number of years part-time.
  • Certificate IV in Community Services Work prepares students to be competent in Community Work in a variety of settings ranging from local church ministry through to all kinds of secular options. This course is offered in two of modes: 12 months (or part-time) in a local church placement; or 6 months through the fast-track cross-cultural Global Discipleship Training Course.
  • Global Discipleship Training is designed to give students a 'taste' of cross-cultural service in partnership. This course involves a total of 13 weeks in Bible College, living in community, and 8 weeks overseas working with and studying alongside a resident cross-cultural worker. Upon graduation students will be awarded a Certificate IV in Community Services Work.
